Wednesday 3 April Busan Korea

Didn't get in to Busan until 12.30 so could go on deck and watch us come in.  Very industrial where we docked.  Lovely Korean women in costume when we got off.  Went on tour around town and to Temple.  Surprisingly very lovely city and quite modern.  Saw Un war graves from Korean War and monument, tour said you had to climb 100 steps at temple more like one million.  It was worth it very beautiful overlooking the sea.  A golden buddha and lots of other buddhas as well.  Very uneven steps though.  All the chinese horoscope characters were there and if you spoke to your character nicely you might get your wish.  I talked to the Tiger nicely so I am sure I am going to get my wish.

We then went to APEC house, it was closed but we had a look around, went to Hae Un Do Beach, very nice like Surfers but sand not as nice.  They hold the record for the most beach umbrellas on one beach and the most people on one beach. Then we walked up through the gardens, more steps, to see Mermaid statue out in the water.  Gardens were beautiful and lots and lots of cherry blossom trees.  The blossoms left a carpet on the ground fantastic.  Also saw a Lotus blossom tree with a lotus flower. Our guide was lovely, he didn't speak very good English but he was so kind and helpful.
Also went to fish markets and general markets.  Hard to buy anything, difficult to communicate.

Cannot believe how beautiful these trees were, so pleased I got to see them.
