Couldn't believe it, woke up this morning and it is so foggy/smoggy. Also very cold. Bus came at 7.15 am and we drove to Tiannamen Square for a quick look, then to Forbidden City. Hobbling with sore knee, and so many stairs, you go through one pavilion and there is another and another and another, all with more stairs. Very beautiful and lots of wonderful carvings. Lots and lots of people, freezing and with my photos, it is not me, it was very foggy if they look a bit blurry.
After Forbidden City we went to see the Chinese Herbalist. Had a short sitting where he held your pulse and diagonsed your complaints. Got mine right, High blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholestoral. Very fatty liver, he told me. But he had pills for that, $200 for one month's supply. Can't believe how many people bought them. I didn't.
Then onto Jade Factory, very beautiful, very dear, had lunch there quite nice and no Trevor I didn't use my chopsticks I have brought them back for you.
Onto Great Wall scenery quite good along the way. Apparently you can see the Great Wall from the bus but all we could see was fog. Took the cable car up, snow on the ground and ice on the railings and trees.
Couldn't walk far up the Wall as it was so steep and so cold. Absolutely bitterly cold. Couldn't see anything much because of the fog.
Back to Beijing with a stop at Dr Tea. All she
